I live in Germany and it's not so easy to be gluten free, I can buy all the flours etc but it's when I go out to a restaurant than the problem arises. Also while my husband understands what it means to be a celiac at the same time he does not understand that the cross contamination from his bread or other gluten containing foods can cause me problems. So it's a real struggle to stay clear of gluten.
I like to cook and experiment with different foods especially vegetables and have found that fresh strawberries are great on a salad with goat's cheese and truffle oil lightly sprinkled on top. But sometimes the thought of cooking two separate meals, one for me and one for him is just too much work and I often end up having boiled potatoes with some butter.
